| 6. piece were gummed up and there is excessive radial movement between the external teeth and the mating piece. LUBRICATION. A thick deposit has formed in various oilways notably those in the first motion shaft and reverse shaft. The gumming up of synchro plunger has been mentioned. There is a certain amount of corosion in the 3rd and 4th speed selector stirrup, the bearing pins of which are binding due to formation of rust. Change Gear & Hand Brake Mechanism. Reverse catch - pivot screw for bottom bell crank loose in handbrake lever. Servo Motor & Mechanism. [handwritten] were in a good condition Friction surfaces in reasonable condition. Slight radial movement of driving gear on countershaft splines. Slight impression at bottom of cams on operating levers G.82796/7 and heavy indentations on thrust bearing track on G.82797. Deep grooves have been worn in the support bracket clamp spring due to fouling of the friction plate. Propeller Shaft. Condition good. --------- | ||
