TO [strikethrough] Copy to [strikethrough] Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [strikethrough] EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/IH.5.2.34. re:- 10,000 Miles Bentley S.B.4. --------------------- We send herewith Evs.117 and 118, showing the design of the body for the next Experimental 10,000 Miles Car which we have ordered from Messrs. Park Ward & Co., to be ready in six to eight weeks from today. The special chassis features which we require on the chassis are:- (1) Dropped front cross member and lamp brackets outside the frame, like Vulture. (2) Revised battery cross member to Evs.116. (3) outside petrol filler, N.Scheme 3929. The body as compared with the standard saloon as actually built, (not as drawn) on N. Scheme 3686, has the following improvements:- (1) One inch more head-room. (2) One inch more room at the elbow line front seats. (3) Two inches more knee-room in the back seat. (4) Increased luggage space and an additional luggage grid. (5) Road tools and all other tools housed in the rear boot. (6) Side spare wheel carrier. (7) Quick-Throw interpretation of the Fisher Ventilation Scheme. (8) Longer Exhaust Pipe. Will you please send us three prints each of EvS.117 and 118. and also a point of head to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} & GE Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} ---- ENCLS: | ||
