- For the attention of Mr Whitehead -

Dear Sirs,

The writer is pleased to report that the misunderstanding is cleared up in regard to plates for clutches containing graphite. The only conversation on the subject of graphite being mixed with Ferobestos was in regard to interleaving for springs.

We hope to send you four sets of rings this week, to reach you, we hope, on Monday, and we shall be glad if you will try these out and inform our Chief Engineer when you would like to see him. He is at your disposal any moment, and as we agree that there are some modifications required in your proposed clutch, to save trouble later, if you would like him down sooner, perhaps you will 'wire' or 'phone us.

The writer has just opened a letter from our French Manager, who states that the Ferobestos clutch on the Citroen car, which is sometimes called the French Ford, is an exact copy, and was actually taken from our booklet. The writer tried one of these cars bought by a friend in Buxton, and the clutch was very sweet - no sign of shuddering (single plate)

Yours obediently,

F E R O D O L I M I T E D
(Sgd) Herbert Frood.

MANAGING DIRECTOR.
