To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. to By/NS.{Norman Scott} 'M' SERIES BENTLEY THERMOSTAT CASING - EB.619. It will be remembered that a cast-in baffle was added to this casing to protect the thermostat bellows from any possibility of pulsations due to water flow. This baffle is shown on drawing EB.619, and has a .250 dia. hole drilled in its base to allow drainage and give a definite water circulation around bellows. We would point out that the thermostat casings at present being fitted to M series cars have no such hole in their baffle and are therefore not to drawing.
