Your Order No.50920

Dear Sirs,

I beg to acknowledge your order numbered as above, Class 1A Priority. We are sending you 2 Stenotype Ribbons, Blue/Red, and six rolls for the Stenotype machine.

Unfortunately our stocks were destroyed by fire on the 17th April last, but we have taken up the matter with the manufacturers who are hoping to be able to give us some paper for July. We will send you another six rolls in a few days as these have to be got out of the stock which we are keeping in the country for safety. We will complete the balance of the order as soon as possible. You may rely upon us that you will not be without paper.

It would help us very much to get your supplies if you would be kind enough to write to us telling us how useful you find the system. It is possible that we may have to get a licence from the Board of Trade to import some paper for the Stenotype machines in use in this country, and they would require evidence that the paper is really needed.

Yours faithfully,

pp. Camille Palanque
