Hotel de l'Ouest Laval 19 May 28. 1922 As from H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} We have fitted the new cylinder head to 69H and were running yesterday. We had to remove the retaining rings from the nuts which hold the top cover on and slot the holes as the centres did not come right. Also we had to slot the holes in the exhaust pipe quite a lot. The car is not so fast as it was before we put on the new head. We have to run with rather a lot of slack in the tappets owing to the flats on the rollers. I have bought a new battery for the car as one of the cells of the Exide battery leaks due to a cracked case. I have taken the cell out and will try to get it repaired. Do you know how they can be patched up? By the way where is the CAV dynamo you said you were altering? Is it done yet. I have heard nothing of it since you wrote and said you were altering one to suit the car. | ||
