Chassis Frame Distortion.

We have carried out the tests suggested in Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}I/HP.19.I.34.
A straight edge was clamped to the rear body brackets and its height above the front body bracket measured before and after resting 300lbs. midway along the horizontal part of the frame.

The deflection produced by the 300lbs. load was-

for 40/50 - .030.
20/25 - .050.
Bentley - .060.

The trouble of the doors not closing appears therefore to be due to body and not chassis distortion.
