Dear Sirs,

Attention of Mr. Ninnes.

With further reference to the Aluminium-tin bushes, we have to inform you that there has been a change made in material, it now being established definitely by the Technical Department of Rolls Royce and High Duty Alloys that AC.9 material is now to supersede AC.6., owing to the fear of segregation in casting of the AC.6. material, which now means the elimination of the Antimony content. This facilitates casting, and assures a sound and uniform job, and from a bearing point of view is a very definite improvement on the AC.6.

We trust therefore, to keep our mutual records in order, you will send us an order for two bearings in AC.9 material, in cancellation of the previous order for two in AC.6. material, these to be on a free of charge basis as agreed.

Yours faithfully,
For WELLWORTHY PISTON RINGS LTD.,

Technical Manager.
