Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter (ref: C/N.) of the 9th. inst.

We should very much like you to make up a silencer to suit our Phantom II model car, which we can try out experimentally. We enclose herewith a blueprint showing the main dimensions, particulars of suspension brackets and outlet pipe etc. in order that your silencer can be made to fit on to our existing suspension brackets.

Our standard silencer has a central tube 3.00" in diameter with a out-out valve fitted on to the rear end of the silencer; we should like you to retain this feature if possible.

In making up this experimental silencer we should like you to disregard price entirely, i.e. make the most efficient silencer you can.

We shall be glad to furnish you with any further particulars you may require.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS ROYCE LTD.
