"Phantom" Road Springs.

Referring to Dal/M29.9.27, it appears to me that we shall adopt parallel control for the front axle on the next series of material we order. This being so, I cannot see any reason why we should not obtain blueprints from America covering all the detailed requirements of the American road springs exactly as they stand and utilise same for Derby purposes. If by any chance their cambers are slightly different, this would be a matter easy of adjustment.

My point in writing is that if this view of the case is considered sound and reasonable, then there is no need for new designs to be produced in this country. This would enable us to get going without delay. We should be taking springs which were thoroughly tested and they could be adopted at once.
