BRAKES.

Thank you for your memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}9/MH.{M. Huckerby}2.3.38, which will receive attention when the star springs and pull-off spring come to hand.

You will have noted from our telegram and from the memo and sketch, Chateauroux 3/.I.3.38, that the groove was worn round the spindle. The centre keys did not appear to have worn the slots in the spindle.

We also thank you for the copy of the report on Wraith servo judders, which is of much interest.

We have fitted the Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}495 lever to the front equaliser to try the effect of reduced front braking and will report on its effect.

We are afraid we had to draw the holes for the bolts which fix the lever to the equaliser, as the centres were incorrect. We give herewith sketch showing old and new centres.
