- 2 - BY1/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 11.3.27. ------------------ I have put forward certain definite proposals in BY8/H.9.3.27., and providing these proposals are definitely agreed to in conference by the people responsible, I am prepared to go ahead. It must of course be remembered that we have a stock of 20% stiffer springs in the Works. The value of this stock is, approximately, 40/50 HP. £500, 20 HP. £300. Since the question of the Spanish roads is being raised, we would like it broadly considered. Six months since we were told to put Holland on the same footing as Spain and Australia. Prior to that, Austria and the Alps were pushed on the same footing, as the result of complaints from Mr.Schmidt, and it appears to me therefore that the whole issue demands reconsideration. A broad view of the situation and a thorough cleaning up is what is necessary. EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s Dept, to whom I have shown the above memorandum, are entirely in agreement with it. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} [Stamped across document] COPY | ||
