STARTER MOTOR LEC.3892. WITH INCREASED GEAR RATIO
TO LEC. 3892.

The starter motor has turned the engine effectively and no false starts have been made. It revolves at speed for some time after engagement and is rather noisy.

DYNAMO RR. sch. 481. 20/25 H.P. VOLTAGE CONTROL DYNAMO.

We have had no failure with the dynamo, the output is as follows :

M.P.H. NO LAMPS. ALL LAMPS.

LUCAS COMBINED TAIL AND STOP LAMP FITTED. STOP LAMP SWITCH
LOP. DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 419.

The stop lamp failed due to the screw of the foot switch working loose. in the plunger

HEAD LAMPS AND FITTINGS RR. sch. 616 - 633 TO SUIT LOWERED FRONT
CROSS - MEMBER BRACKETS OUTSIDE FRAME IDB. 625. BRACKET FOR
FOG LAMP. LAMP OPERATED WITH LUCAS SWITCH ON FLOOR BOARDS.

The head lamps are not as steady with the brackets mounted on the side; considerable movement takes place when travelling on rough roads. The lamps have not given any electrical trouble. They do not dip sufficiently when reversed for Continental use and the French drivers take objection to them. To overcome this complaint, we have set the lamps down in the normal position which gives sufficient beam. We have not had any mist, therefore we have not been able to test out the qualities of the lamp. We have managed previously very well in fog with the use of a central lamp.

BATTERY.

We have had no failure of supply from the battery. The amount of water added has been .300 of a pint.
