X5380 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/MJ.29.4.32. J.3. FRAME. On the J.3 that we have on the road there is every indication that the frame is not so rigid torsionally as the existing standard 25 HP. car. In order to eliminate the effect of the body mounting etc., we should like to have the opportunity of measuring the torsional rigidity of the bare frame and subsequently of the frame with the engine fitted in it. This is rather an important test as alterations in frame design cannot be reproduced in practice very quickly. Will you please let us know when you think the second J.3 frame will be in a condition where we can test it. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
