X.4050p RE TYPE OF WHEELS TO BE DEFINITELY ORDERED UP FOR "O" SERIES. ----------------- Will you kindly note that although the type of wheel suitable for straight sided tyres is now available from the Dunlop Company, our Experimental Department are not satisfied with the tyres, and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} now definitely agrees that we shall carry on with the present type of wheel up to the end of "O" series. The D.O. should therefore note that any remarks they may have against the wheels on the Part List, to the effect that straight sided tyres would be brought into use, will have to be modified and left open in view of the above statement. The O.O. however, should note that they are at liberty to order up shells and hubs and such parts as could be built indiscriminately into either our present type of wheel or the type of wheel for the straight sided tyre for "P" series.
