J. S. Burt - Engineer}-87 [text '3-BT{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer}-87' is struck through] - Lord Vestey With reference to the gear trouble which this customer experienced, we had the car here on the 1st inst. and found a seizure of the floating gun-metal bush situated in the top gear on the first motion shaft. We dismantled the gearbox, eased the bush and polished the shaft, when it was quite satisfactory. We would add that this trouble occurred within 5 miles running of the car leaving the Coachbuilders on the owner taking delivery brand new. Br/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} [Signature] | ||
