The following features have been dealt
Piston knocks
Distortion of cylinders
Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} carrying out tests of distortion of cylinders.
Cylinder joint.
White rubber rings to be replaced by rings as used on Merlin. Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}'s oil test has since proved not satisfactory. D material to be tested.
Connecting Rod bearing failure.
Strap type of rod to be superseded by Marine type.
Oil cooler.
Side plates to be corrugated to increase strength, as Buick.
Hydraulic Tappets.
Oil feed to be increased to the double plungers. Metering screws to be made more accessible. Gauze filters to be used in place of Tecalemit.
Rear Brake Drums
Fouling cross member and frame.
Track of rear axle to be increased 1.00".
