The "Withers Lubrigait" Spring Gaiter is the outcome of careful study of the problem of spring lubrication from every point of view, and embodies :— 1. A solid leather cover blocked to the shape of the spring. 2. A double row of grease cells. 3. A broad underlapping tongue joint which keeps the grease in and the wet out. 4. A neat, simple and effective lacing device. "Withers Lubrigait" Spring Gaiters are more than a cover. They lubricate as well as protect, ensure long life to the springs, and add greatly to the comfort of the motorist. Made of solid leather, blocked to shape on model springs in our factory, they gracefully follow the contour of the springs and cover the projections made by the spring clips, in addition adding to the appearance of the Car when fitted. An exclusive feature of the "Withers Lubrigait" is a row of grease cells of non-absorbent material, along each side of the gaiter, which keep a supply of grease close up to the edges of the spring leaves all the time, and as they slide over each other in use, fresh supplies of lubricant are worked between them, providing complete lubrication, giving added buoyancy and life to the springs, enabling them to work under ideal conditions and ensuring complete elimination of all road shocks and excessive vibration. The broad underlapping tongue joint keeps the grease in and the wet out. In use they are silent and sure. They require no attention, no messy oil cans or grease guns. Fill up the grease cells, and fit the Gaiters, the work of a few moments, and they will last indefinitely. You fit them and forget your springs. The "Lubrigait" is made for every kind of spring, and our illustrations, which are taken from actual photographs, show the Gaiter in detail. The "Lubrigait" Spring Gaiter is an investment not an expense. Fit a set on your Car without delay, keep down depreciation and ensure the maximum of comfort on the roughest roads. They can be obtained through all garages or motor dealers. Some Appreciations. Humber, 15.9 h.p. 16, Bennett's Hill, Birmingham. I have just returned from a holiday spent in North Wales, and have now had an opportunity of realising the difference between my 15.9 h.p. Humber when fitted with your Gaiters and before this was done. There is no question about it that there is a great improvement, and I have demonstrated this to quite a number of my friends whom I met in Wales, and whose Cars were not "shod" in a similar way. J. {Mr Johnson W.M.} A. {Mr Adams} OLDBURY, of the Motor. Fiat, 15/20 h.p. Whiteholme, 78, Scarisbrick New Road, Southport. May 2nd, 1921. Messrs. J. {Mr Johnson W.M.} Withers & Son Ltd. Gentlemen,—I feel I ought to write and thank you for the satisfaction which your Patent Spring Gaiters have given me. The appearance and fit leave nothing to be desired, and obviously the way in which they hold the grease must add considerable life and efficiency to the springs and Cars. I think the enclosed order for two sets for friends of mine who have seen, is a good testimonial as to their merit. Yours truly, JAMES HARGREAVES. Rolls-Royce. Sandfields, Sutton Road, Erdington, Birmingham, July, 7th 1921. Gentlemen,—Your Gaiters are first class, in fact I do not know what we should have done without them, on account of the tar on the roads. I might say that they are very successful as they have proved on my Rolls-Royce, on our tour through North Wales. Good luck to you. Yours sincerely, W. PILKINGTON. Rover, 12 h.p. Preston, March 24th, 1921. To Messrs. J. {Mr Johnson W.M.} Withers & Son Ltd., Walsall. Gentlemen,—I received last week the set of "Lubrigait" Spring Gaiters which I ordered from you for my Rover Car, and am writing to express my entire satisfaction with them. They fit the springs beautifully and only took 20 minutes to fix the complete set of eight. The roads round here are in a very poor condition, and I can assure you the difference now that your Gaiters are fitted is simply wonderful. I can travel over the worst roads with a feeling of confidence, as all the tiresome squeaks have disappeared and the springing is 100 per cent better. I believe four of my friends to whom I shewed the Gaiters have already sent you orders. Again thanking you for such splendid Gaiters. Yours, &c., P. ABBOTT. *These orders duly received and executed.
