CONDITIONS TO BE OBSERVED BY JOHN MARSTON LTD., WHEN PLATING BENTLEY RADIATOR GRILLE.

Noted by
STD

Nickel thickness to be a minimum of 0.0015", after polishing (this for brass only).

Chromium thickness to be approx. twice that of the samples submitted. This would probably be best achieved by increasing the plating time to double, the current employed being as before. The thin nature of the chromium deposit will preclude any accurate measurements being made by workshop methods. (20 MINS?)

The finished job is to be free from pits, pores or other defects either in the deposit or base material.

The turn-over down one side of the slat should be left with a gap of approx. 0.30" in order that the part may be more readily freed from plating solutions etc.
