Ruy 1381 BY.10/G.29.3.39. MINUTES OF CHASSIS CONFERENCE HELD IN BY'S OFFICE - 27.3.39. Present: BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/JRD. WRAITH PETROL PIPES. Drawings are being prepared for a modified petrol pipe, which will remove the bends referred to at the previous Conference. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} agreed the new form would meet Works' requirements. The new parts will be instructed for 'C' series. WRAITH - LIGHTER CAM WHEEL. It was agreed for this to be introduced on 'D' series owing to the position of existing parts MOULDED PEDAL GAP PLATES. It was agreed to test modified samples, but BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} pointed out that a steel pressing was being considered for future production. COINED CONNECTING RODS. After a lengthy discussion as to the possibility of trying the fully coined rod without machining, it was decided to order 100 rods with machining allowance, and 100 without machining allowance. | ||
