Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}..from PN.{Mr Northey} Copy to R.{Sir Henry Royce} Nor. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Sx. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BA. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/BDY. PN.{Mr Northey}3/WY17.1.30. GEARBOX - CHANGING & SILENCE. I am distressed to find when looking through my carbons to-day that by a clerical error PN{Mr Northey}2/WY16.1.30 on Gearbox - Changing & Silence was not addressed, as intended by me, to Fg., with copies only to others interested in this technical matter. It is obvious that the question of policy would be greatly involved when the consideration is in due course given to the proposition to fit a free wheel device or any other modification to our present standard gearbox.
