Dear Mr. Thompson,

Chassis B-10-DG.

Your car went to Park Wards yesterday, and we have asked them to ring you up when it is ready.

I think you will find the car much quieter from the driving seat, and also nicer to handle with the lower gear ratio. As far as we can tell the water excluders on the brakes are effective; if you have any further trouble after washing we should like to know.

Owing to the car still being relatively higher geared than the average American car, we would recommend that unless you are on a good surface on the level, you should start in bottom gear. This will give the clutch an easier time.

I notice that my car detonates rather badly on your petrol. I do not know what you use, but the latest Esso petrol gives very good results for a high performance car.

We have done the best we can with the ground clearance but you may still touch over the bridge. There is no doubt that if you fit 6" tyres this will not occur. However, as you pointed out, you may be getting the bridge altered.

We have raised the steering wheel slightly. All the routine adjustments, such as brakes, changing of oil, etc., have been carried out.
