I hope you will be able to rig up temporarily an arrangement of the carburetter in the new position, so that we are in a position to be certain of our recommendations. Regarding the heating of the throttle only with exhaust gas, I quite agree that it would be very inconvenient and complicated to use both exhaust and water, and it is quite probable that this is not necessary, but I suggest to confirm the difference in the efficiency between the water and the exhaust gas, that you get a thermometer reading of the temperature and time of the heating of the throttle as the engine starts and if convenient take the temperature from time to time on the road. It will be necessary to find out what this is with water connected in the usual way, and with the exhaust connected as proposed, shewing on the chart the rise and fall of temperature.
