Dear Mr. Robotham,

Thanks for your letter of the 7th inst. and I am very disappointed to hear your decision regarding the S.U. Carburetter.

As regards the central guide for the air valve, I am not quite sure whether we have a patent covering this particular feature, but I am writing our patent agents to find out.

Regarding the Petrolift, your criticism re this being noisy when pumping dry is generally considered an advantage as in the first place when starting up it shows definitely that the pump is working, and it also indicates that petrol is beginning to run short.

Kind regards.

Yours sincerely,
TCSkinner
