contd :- -3- system far superior to any pipe we have used with the std. chassis carburetter. We found during these tests, also on previous occasions, that the distribution with a straight through carburetter is very susceptible to the position of the air intake. Very good results were obtained with two intake openings to the carburetter facing the front and rear of the engine as shown in our sketch. With an intake pointing to one side the mixture appeared to have a bias towards the cyls. on the opposite side. A large entry to the choke, so that the entry velocity is low, was found an advantage in giving good distribution. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/A.C.Lovesey. | ||
