Sidgreaves - MD}9/E.13.9.35., we agree that this is the same complaint about which you were in correspondence with us a short time ago, and which has now been designed out on new cars. As, however, the isolated gear lever is a rather difficult and expensive job to apply to an existing car, since it means taking the body off, our remarks were intended to apply to the necessity for some cure or palliative which could be applied to the many cars on the road concerning which we receive complaints.
