BRAKE SERVO MOVED TO R.H SIDE OF G/BOX HERON. TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to CJ. c. to WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} "HERON". We send you herewith N. sch. 1341. This shews a good many of the principle features on the "Heron", and we send it to you in case it may be of service, but it is not finished, and just at the moment we do not think we shall be able to spare the time to finish it. We should therefore like you to take some prints off, and return the original, together with 5 prints, to us. It will be noticed that the Servo motor operating the brakes has been changed to the right hand side of the gearbox, and the brake operating mechanism modified to suit. As the gearbox is not yet complete we are not sure of the exact position of some of these pieces. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} RECEIVED JAN 30 1923 SH | ||
