INDIA TYRE & RUBBER COMPANY, LTD. TELEPHONES: PAISLEY 4141/5. TELEGRAMS: INDIATYRE, RENFREW. INCHINNAN SCOTLAND OUR REF. PW/HDE. YOUR REF. 1336. 14th January, 1938. S. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Grylls Esq., Rolls-Royce Limited, DERBY. Dear Mr. Grylls, With regard to the 6.50/17 new silent tyre for the Bentley, we are making moulds and will have tyres ready for delivery to you to meet your requirements. We have given consideration to a further design and are now making plans to make one or two experimental moulds. After we have submitted the drawing to you, we propose to make the new tyre in size 6.50/17 for trial. It is my understanding that you might consider using 6.50/16 tyres in place of 6.50/17 and we should like to know from you whether you would like us to submit a tyre in this size as well. It is necessary for us to place orders for castings as soon as possible on account of the difficulty of getting delivery. Yours faithfully, INDIA TYRE & RUBBER COMPANY, LTD.
