Dear Sirs,

Your Ref. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD{Frank Dodd - Bodies}2/R.{Sir Henry Royce}

I am in receipt of your letter of the 4th instant.

I am afraid that at the moment it is quite impossible to allow cars to do anything like an average speed of 90 m.p.h. over the entire outer circuit. The actual repairs will probably be completed by the end of this week, but there is a lot of lorry traffic going on in connection with the road-circuit which is now in the course of construction. It is quite possible to get bursts of speed but not to sustain it for the entire circuit.

Yours faithfully,

Clerk of the Course.
(A.{Mr Adams} Percy Bradley).
