6051 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}14/JH. 12th November, 1937. Messrs. A.T. Speedometers. Chronos Works, North Circular Road, LONDON.N.W.2. Dear Sirs, re A.T. Experimental Speed Indicators. With reference to our letter of the 2nd. inst. and your reply of the 4th inst. we are returning the two instruments in question, complete with their respective drive cables. The chronometric instrument, we thick, would be unsuitable for our car, and therefore at the moment see no useful purpose in going further with it. As regards the magnetic speedometer, before proceeding with our tests we should like you to overhaul this instrument in view of the noise it makes, and at the same time remove the tendency for the points to stick about the zero. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
