Rear brake squeaks and 'wet judder', proposing a test with extra graphite lining.

The rear brakes, which have not suffered from these troubles, also squeak.

As regards holes in drums, we can certainly try this although we do not regard it as practical owing to the frequency with which our customers' chauffeurs wash their cars, and the trouble we have had in the past with water on the drums which has lead to us sealing the drums. There is a complaint known as "wet judder" which we have to prevent, and it is due to a water film between lining and drum. Blind holes might be satisfactory.

We shall be glad to test the lining with extra graphite.
