The following conclusions.

① Losses due to the induction system & carburetters will be about 20 BHP.

② Losses due to port restrictions are about 15 BHP.

③ The large bore induction system (1 7/8") is almost as efficient at high speeds as the ultra clear system of six 1 3/8" S.U. carburetters bolted straight to the ports. There is a fairly substantial loss at middle speeds, however, but it is suspected that this could be evened out by a slightly longer inlet duration & slightly advanced phase angle.

The above has, whilst being quite interesting in showing what could be done.
