X6005 RECEIVED JAN 27 1933 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} [redacted] C. P. [redacted] C. W-- [redacted] c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.2/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 27.1.33. RE: PEREGRINE DYNAMO SPEED. ---------------------------- E.6/HP.25.1.33. There is one point that arose when we were considering this matter originally in conjunction with the silent gears which made us feel pretty certain that engine speed would have been quite satisfactory for the dynamo viz. the provision of the silent third gear results in this gear being used for all town work, so that the cutting in speed under these circumstances is not a difficulty. I am mentioning this because it gives us a very much better margin at 1.2 than would appear from the figures. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} [Handwritten signature] BY | ||
