To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} X1033 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}21/KW.4.12.35. Induction System Development. In conjunction with the work being carried out on the Stromberg Carburetter for the 25/30 HP. car, will you please carry out the necessary alterations to the two following cars in the garage. 18-G-IV. To have the standard cylinder head refitted (E.55805), using the existing induction pipe (Ex.19455). The reason for this change is to prove that the larger inlet valve (in the head at present fitted) definitely upsets the slow running, apart from any other factors. 19-G-IV. To have an induction pipe Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2014 fitted, using the latest DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}-42 Stromberg Carburetter (which has an automatic starting device). The bi-metal strip element should be fitted to the exhaust manifold, in exactly the same manner as the arrangement at present on 18-G-IV. All the above parts (for 19-G-IV) can be supplied by C.T.S. The reason for this change is to gain experience with the automatic system, during the car's transport duties to Hucknall. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/C.T. Salt. | ||
