86081 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.5/MA. 11th January, 1934. The A.T.Speedometer Co.Ltd., Chronos Works, North Circular Road, London, N.W.2. Dear Sirs, With reference to the visit of the undersigned to your Works yesterday the 10th instant we confirm the following arrangements, regarding the lightened type instruments :- It was arranged that the two instruments left with you would be completely overhauled, the speedometer fitted with the new position of trip, new dials fitted to both speedometer and rev counter and the figures on the trip and total mileage recorder on the speedometer to conform in outline to the speed figures on the dial. With reference to the letter B on these instruments it is now agreed that the smaller of the two should be mounted above the trip in the case of the speedometer and above the R.P.M. x 100 figure on the rev clock. These instruments are very urgently required back again for standardisation tests and we hope you will find it possible to reconsign them to us very quickly. With regard to the temperature error it was agreed that we were satisfied with the figures produced by your tests carried out at Cricklewood. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
