Messrs John Marston Ltd.,
WOLVERHAMPTON

For the attention of Mr.Dunn.

Dear Sirs,

As discussed with your Mr.Smith over the telephone today, we have only received one of the three renovated Mk.V. matrix units which you promised the writer.

Further, the one which we have received leaked in two places and has had to be repaired here.

We should like you to urge as far as possible the process of cleaning and opening up any Mk.V. matrix units which we return as at the moment we only have two replacement matrices in stock - we do not wish to replace any further silted up Mk.V. cores with Mk.Vl. {V. Lewis / Mr Valentine} ones. Further, we should like you to ensure that any further units delivered are not leaking.

In order to increase the number of Mk.V. renovated units, immediately available, we are today returning to you three Mk.V. matrix units, which are unused ones - in the case of these three you will only need to open up the waterways, no cleaning will be necessary, so that you should be able to let us have them back very shortly.

We suggest that you remove the tanks from the other matrix units returned to you and select the least silted up ones for first treatment, as the amount of actual silting on some of them may be slight.

We trust that you will give us all the assistance that you can in this matter, which is an extremely urgent one.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
