Instructions for Taking Off Perfloc Nuts. THE PERFLOC NUT can be taken off easily either by use of an ordinary or a box spanner. If the former is used care must be taken to keep the spanner pressed against the projecting arm of the spring while unscrewing; if the latter is used a check should be cut in it as marked A in illustration, so as to hold the end of the spring back. N.B.—When used on an undersized bolt the Perfloc Nut may be sometimes taken off without releasing the spring, yet it will be found to act as a PERFECT LOCKING nut, getting tighter under vibration. | ||
