(2) Since the water is directed straight at the valves and exhaust outlets, the claim is made that one obtains -
Cooler valves.
Reduced tendency to pop back and fire after switching off and -
Reduced tendency to detonate.

We have the idea that the possibilities of this scheme could be tested very easily by the method shown in attached sketch, SK 165.
