-3- Serial No.167. - Hydraulic Transmission. I should be interested to have any particulars about Griswold's multi-plate magnetic clutch, as Rovers are trying out something on the same lines. I should like further particulars about the Sheffield Gauge made by the Sheffield Gauge Co., Ohio. Serial No.131 - Zerol Gears. I think Bartlett's attitude about expresses our own. If a burglar is climbing into your bedroom window it is difficult to get enthusiastic about an experiment on a improved form of rifling on a revolver if this means that, in the meantime, you are going to be short of something to defend yourself with. However, it is a subject which we shall certainly follow up after the war. Serial No.116 - North Dilution Scheme. We are sorry that you think we are dismissing this problem casually. Actually this is not the case. Had we had the scheme on machines going to Norway it might have facilitated operations, but now that the Norwegian campaign is terminated the immediate demands for ultra cold starting have ceased to exist. Curiously enough, the north of Scotland is, generally speaking, milder than the East Coast. Some tests are going forward, however, on Dilution schemes. Yours sincerely, | ||
