Re Tests on SU & SV Batteries (178-7).
On Low Rate Discharge through a constant external resistance of 1.80w these batteries gave 34.8 ampere hours. All cells shewed positive weakness. The P&R cell in SV had a very poor capacity.
After a full charge a High Rate Discharge was then taken.
Initial amperes = 100.0
Time to 90 " = 3.2 min.
" " 80 " = 5.5 "
All cells shewed negative weakness. The P&R in SV again gave poor result.
SV Battery has been on our bench life test 40 months.
SU Battery has been on our bench life test 32 months & has run 5,595 miles.
