Dear Grylls.

Many thanks for your letter of the 8th inst. I note and appreciate your remarks, and at the first opportunity will arrange so that I may leave the Car with you for two or three days to go through everything.

Since the Car returned from Derby last Monday I have done two or three long journeys, and I must say I think the acceleration seems a little better than before you had the Car for the day, but at the same time she is definitely not all she should be, and the maximum engine revs she pulls on top gear are disappointing, particularly in view of the slightly higher compression.

Looking forward to seeing you.

Yours ever.
