44124 He. c.w.d. BYL/H. 26.1.26. Colonel Matthew was with us on friday last, and left with me a Jack of a double lifting type, having a ball bearing to support the load. I am sending the jack in question in to you so that you can try same out and see whether the effort required to lift it is reasonable. In regard to the driving shaft and wooden handle, a lighter jointed arrangement has been made which can be supplied. If the effort to lift the car with this jack is satisfactory, we will arrange to get you one of the modified handles. Colonel Matthew says there will be no charge. BY. {R.W.
