I shall be glad if you will arrange to bring or send to Peterboro' for September 27th, the "Hawk" Northcliffe chassis, or a present production chassis, so that I can compare it with 1 EX. which I take to represent what we consider a production chassis should be.

It will be understood that you will be engaged in perfecting 6 EX. as a model for the next change in production. The modifications, however, will not affect the running in any other way but the lower geared back axle.

The model to follow this would be the three speed 5 EX box, modified starter, slightly lengthened propeller tube, central speed change levers.

This latter and its "left hand" equivalent will complete the series of modifications we intend to apply to the present chassis.

1 EX - typical of Post war Cars 1 to 1000
6 EX typical of chassis 1,001 onward
Ref E1 G28-9-20
5 EX FINAL Projected mods to 40/50 - NOT CARRIED OUT.
