X.1627 - PRODUCTION TEST OF LUCAS DYNAMO. X.3014.

The points to be noted in the above test are as follows :-

In (2) The dynamo should be run up to a fairly high speed or to 12 amps on the battery before the O.C. reading is taken. This is necessary as the residual magnetism is very uncertain in a new dynamo.

In (3) 12.0 amperes seems to be rather more than the average Lucas is capable of giving after 20 mins, running on full load. Could this be reduced in the specification to 11.5 amperes ?

Also in (3) is not 16.0 volts at dynamo terminals too generous?
