body runners, and the frame brackets, and under the nuts and plates of the bolts, and under the head of the bolts. This is exactly the same scheme as we have long used for the attachment of the dashboard to the scuttle. I do not think it is practicable to leave the scuttle clear of the dash, but it is hardly a chassis-builder's feature, and I have no objection to it being tried, and it would appear that nothing is wanting from us except an aluminium lip round to catch the water which would pass the joint. I think however that our system of rubber liners is better than any air space for many reasons, and as we have made satisfactory bodies with this feature, I do not see that there would be any advantage in changing to the Daimler scheme, which I understand as Daimlers produce it, is ugly.
