To EY. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. BJ. c. to RG.{Mr Rowledge} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} AJS. X8770 RL/M2.11.25. RE. DESIGN AND EXPL: WORK. X.7770 X.4114 X.8770 X.3804 I am hoping and expecting to see EAC.2 and EAC.8 by the end of the month. We are nearing completion of RR. E.16 and also the new epicyclic gear, (this design should be available for Condor, RR. F.10, and RR. E.20., if found good) which is arranged for a gun gear attachment, so that good progress should now follow on RR. F.10., and the campaign of less EAC. chassis weight. I must thank BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} for his excellent weekly reviews of the design state - they are most useful. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
