Dear Mr. Pilkington,

Thank you so much for your letter of the 1st September.

I do not return from my holiday until the 16th September. I would particularly like to be at the factory when you visit us, and would therefore suggest that you defer your trip until one day during the week beginning Monday the 21st September. If you will write here, the letter will be opened in my absence and arrangements made.
