Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your letter of the 12th inst., reference as above, and herein wish to reply to paragraphs 3 and 13, whereas the other items are being dealt with by our Technical Department.

Regarding paragraph 3, we can supply the lids with the boss hole drilled, recessed and tapped to the new dimensions, as we find that we could open out and retap the 216 lids we already have prepared for you.

The cost of this would be 9/6d per 100.

On future supplies we could have the die modified to increase the boss diameter to .750 and we should have to pay 35/- for the die alteration.

With regard to paragraph 13, we can spot face the boss on which the metering screws spring butts. We should make no charge for this extra work, but we shall have to make up a jig to mill this face, which we have not done before,
