1153 c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}5/G.5.9.38. GEARBOX. B.3, B.50 and B.60. ACTUATING GEAR. The leverages of the actuating gear as now instructed are lower than is desirable, due to the shortening of the gear lever and lengthening of the pendulum lever, and it is necessary to revert to the original leverages. PD.261 shews the proposed changes. The boss for the pendulum lever is altered in position on the casting, and so are the bosses for the two actuating levers, and these mods. should be got on to the pattern for the first castings.
