It will be noticed that changing the axle ratio from 16 X 52 to 14 X 52 we get nearly the same advantage in cutting-in earlier as we do if we fit the 1" longer dynamo on to a car with 16 X 52 ratio. Our opinion is that the dynamo on the 40/50 chassis should cut in at 10 M.P.H. We consider the early cutting-in speed is more essential on our cars than any other because they are run more on top gear low engine speeds.
